Cargizon Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how 9485-2068 Québec Inc. ("Cargizon", "we") uses cookies and similar technologies on cargizon.com and in the Cargizon application.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels. They can be "session" (deleted when you close the browser) or "persistent" (remain until expiry or deletion), and "first-party" (set by us) or "third-party" (set by our service providers).
2. Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary (always active)
These are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off in our systems.

2.2 Functional (always active)
These remember a choice you made or a lookup we have already done. They carry no identifier used for analytics or advertising, and they are set without asking because they do nothing else.

You can clear these at any time in your browser. Clearing them loses only the language choice; nothing else changes.
2.3 Analytics (subject to consent where required)

Because your session replays are linked to your account, a recording of your session can be identified as yours rather than being anonymous.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, we do not sell personal information, and none of this information is shared with anyone outside the sub-processors listed on our Subprocessors page.
2.4 Anonymous Measurement (no cookies, no consent required)
Before you make a choice on the cookie banner, we count page visits in PostHog's cookieless mode. This sets no cookies and writes nothing to your device: no identifier of any kind is stored or read on your browser. Visits are grouped by a rotating hash derived server-side, which cannot be used to recognise you across days or across sites, and session replay is not active. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, this does not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive.
This anonymous measurement stops the moment you choose:
- Accept: we switch to full product analytics as described in 2.3.
- Decline: we stop measuring you entirely, anonymously or otherwise.
Our analytics requests are served from cargizon.com/ingest, a first-party proxy
in front of PostHog. This exists so that privacy tooling doesn't silently distort
our traffic counts; it does not change what is collected, and PostHog remains the
processor described in our Subprocessors list.
3. Consent
Strictly necessary cookies operate on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a secure, functional service. Functional cookies (2.2) are also set without consent: they only remember a language choice or record that a lookup has already been done, and they carry no identifier used for analytics or advertising. Where required by law (including for visitors from the EEA, UK, and Quebec), non-essential analytics cookies are set only after consent via our cookie banner, and you may withdraw consent at any time using the Cookie preferences link in our website footer. The anonymous measurement described in 2.4 involves no storage on your device and therefore operates without consent, but it ends as soon as you decline.
4. Managing Cookies
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the Service (such as signing in) from working.

We will update this page as our use of cookies changes and revise the "Last updated" date.
